A Helpful Dictionary For the Rest Of Us

So I go on the Fail Blog because I am an I Can Has Cheezburger addict and have to look at their spinoff blogs because, well, I am curious when it comes to spinoffs. Even with movies and TV shows. Except for the TV show Joey: 5 minutes of that travesty and I was outta there. I am also a HUGE Star Trek: The Next Generation fan, but I believe that Deep Space Nine, Voyager and Enterprise tried too hard.

On the Fail Blog, their tagline says "Pictures and Videos of Owned, Pwnd and Failed Moments."

Now, I consider myself a mid-range, Internet savvy person. But I had absolutely NO idea what "pwnd" meant. So I typed it into Google and got this great answer. This answer made perfect sense to me since I am not a gamer, so I probably wouldn't have known this.

This is a pretty neat website: The Urban Dictionary. I have run into it several times. It is written by anyone who wants to put their slang information on there, so some of it's totally jacked or f'ed up, but some answers are solid. I think you'll be able to tell the difference.

So pop a squat (definition #3) and explore, but don't drink the Kool-Aid. I gotta jet--gotsta check in with my peeps on FB (definition #3). Later.

P.S. Picard is the best ST Captain EVA (definition #3).

I have an unpleasant sensation resulting from exposure to an urban stimulus that elicits a synaptic response in a pain receptor in my auditory organ.

I mostly live under a rock so am not up on the current slang. Heck, I still use "cool" a lot.
Picard is great but I also really like the mature Kirk. Kirk in the original TV shows could be way too pompous.
